Replying to Mongabay.com's comment:

1) Above the Mongabay.com comment, and reference to their update, emphasizes that Mongabay.com made an undocumented assertion in its original story on January 17, 2012.
2) The Levi policy is dated December 2010. Mongabay.com offers no confirmation for their comment that the document was made public in December 2011. Mongabay.com offers no link to a Levi document indicating that the policy was released in December 2011. Therefore the conjecture remains.

To set the record straight:
1. As noted at the bottom of our post on mongabay.com, Levi's confirmed that it no longer sources from APP.
2. Levi's policy was drafted in December 2010 but was only made public in December 2011 after a year of consultation. Levi's has also confirmed this.

Yea, yea, I get it...total exec comp up 111%. But at the end of the day, we're talking about a small group (5-10) who average less than $90k/year. Yea ok, maybe 1 of them gets 2-3 times as much - then the rest of the "execs" average $50k/yr. Remember, total comp also includes employer-paid taxes, like the roughly 6% FICA. At that salary level, I'd be looking for other jobs too...

Dear Mr. Telofski:

I appreciate your article about Dan Gainor's lack of citation for what is really a false and misleading claim about the work of the Center for Media and Democracy, which published BanksterUSA.

Had he bothered to actually do his homework, he would have seen that our BanksterUSA project is not funded by OSI.

As we note in our list of funders, the Center has had a project grant from OSI for my work on evaluating homeland security and surveillance policies, matters about which I have been asked to testify about before both houses of Congress: http://www.prwatch.org/finances.html

Here is a link to our response to Gainor's other absurd claims about our work: http://www.prwatch.org/news/2011/12/11183/fox-news-ows-banksters-and-bombs

But, given his lame and ridiculous attack on the Muppets, I consider CMD to be in good company. Lisa Graves

One of the ways that union executives enriched themselves was with positions at several locals and the national union as well as multiple positions within a single local. It might be worthwhile comparing the names of GPUSA with the names of execs at the GP international organization and/regional or national groups.
