Something Annoying

Here’s something that’s just indicative of manners in America.

At work, I’ve been involved in giving awards to bloggers in various industries. We send the winners a plaque. A plaque. A nice plaque. These things aren’t cheap, and it requires some work to get them made up and shipped. We also send the top three placers an award badge for their blog and a copy of the report in which their blog was studied.

Six so far, and only one said “Thank you.” One. That’s it.

Now, of course these folks have no obligation to us. But would a simple “thanks” be too much?
