Develop Your Content, Bucko

Just last Friday I said to visit similar blogs, to cross-pollinate. After all, no idea is born in a vacuum. As you visit those other blogs to comment on their posts, take note of the subjects about which they write. Use these notes as an idea fountain for your own blog posts. Expound on their ideas found on other blogs. Approach their topics, and their thinking, from different angles. Be sure to give credits and link backs in your posts to the blogs where you found the ideas. Nobody likes a plagiarist.

It’s this cross-pollination, this collective intelligence, this give and take that makes the blogosphere what it is. A rich forum of ever-evolving ideas. Your readers will appreciate and benefit from your efforts in this area.

Alright you say. Sounds great. But how do I go about finding these other blogs in the first place? I’ll talk about that tomorrow.
