Article Series Keep ‘Em Coming Back – Part Three

As a professional person dispensing great info via your blog article series, you will give yourself an opportunity to receive comments about articles in the series as it progresses. You can use these comments to enrich subsequent entries in your series, or the comments may inspire additional entries to the series about which you hadn’t thought yet.

In the real estate agent example yesterday, I mentioned the use of pictures. Don’t be afraid to mix multimedia in with your posts. Video, photos, audio. I’ll talk more about these other media in another post. But for now, just think about how you could provide videos or photos to illustrate visually how you solved various problems. After all, you’re a professional, right?

Before I leave this topic, I’d just like to make one note about the length of each post in the series.

My research, and the research of others, has shown that blog readers prefer short posts to long posts. In my research, I’ve found that articles fewer than 300 words tend to attract and keep more readers than articles over 300 words. For best results, I’d recommend keeping your posts, whether a single entry in a series of not, under 300 words.

But sometimes the subject of an article you want to write isn’t long enough to warrant an article series, but is more than 300 words. What do you do? Post jumps to the rescue.

Where’s the info on the post jumps? Guess what?

Tune in tomorrow. To be continued. Don’t miss it!
